René Sheret is an imagemaker who uses digital photography, computer technology and ink jet printing to create his unique images, often of great beauty. It all started many years ago, in grade school, the darkroom magic of seeing a print come up in a tray of developer. This captured his attention, leading to an early interest in photography and eventually to the Art Center School in Los Angeles (now Art Center School of Design, Pasadena). René graduated with honors in photography and a consuming interest in graphic design.
After various jobs as art director, designer, photographer and having a studio which produced annual reports of over 30 years. Now in retirement Rene has continued his interest in photography under the business name, PhototoArt. He likes to manipulate his photographs making unique images, sometimes to abstraction, printing them on paper, canvas, metal or laminating large images to plexiglass. Rene particularly delights in taking one photograph and seeing how many different images he can make with it.
