The California landscape is so vast and spread out that owning a car is practically a legal requirement for those who live here. Oddly enough, despite California’s widespread geography (Or maybe because of it), urban and rural environments are situated right next to each other in one great big mish mash of culture, concrete and nature. One of the greatest reasons for living in California is that each of these environments is within minutes, sometimes steps, of where you live. And when you live here, it’s easy to overlook the sights and scenes that are right in front of us.
Strawberry Peak, Twin Peaks
Photographer Joe Adea ventures along the coast, across the cities, and into the forests to help us rediscover, and uncover, the beauty, moodiness and vibrancy of Central and Southern California that so many take for granted. He captures many of the places we recognize but rarely take time to appreciate, including hidden spots off the beaten path - from urban architecture to breathtaking vistas of nature. Joe’s mysterious and mesmerizing style of photography highlights why California is one of the most scenic and intriguing destinations in the world.
